Please call Gov. Hickenlooper at (303) 866-2471.
You will be speaking with a staffer rather than the governor, so you should be prepared to leave a brief message with the individual who answers or on voicemail. If you are a patient who could benefit from PTSD being added as a qualifying condition, you may want to personalize your call with your own story. Always remember, you are trying to persuade lawmakers, not alienate them. Please be polite, concise, and respectful.
Thank you for helping make history!
Hello, my name is _________, and I live in ____________. I’m calling to urge Gov. Hickenlooper to sign SB17-017, the compassionate bill that would add PTSD to our state’s medical marijuana program. Many veterans suffer from PTSD, and they should be allowed to access any treatment that may help ease their suffering, especially one that has less side effects and is less dangerous than the drugs commonly prescribed.
Please pass on my request that the governor sign this bill to protect some of our most vulnerable residents.
