At the state and federal level, the cannabis movement saw great victories this year. Which are most important to you? [Select all that apply]
The newly introduced HOPE Act, which would provide funding for states to expunge non-violent cannabis convictions
The MORE Act, which would decriminalize cannabis and expunge certain criminal offenses, passed through a key House committee
Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer introduced the Cannabis Administration and Opportunity Act (CAOA), which would end federal cannabis prohibition
House Republicans introduced a new bill to end federal cannabis prohibition and begin to establish federal regulations
The states of Connecticut, New Jersey, New York, New Mexico, and Virginia all legalized adult-use cannabis
The Harris Rider, which for years blocked the will of D.C. voters who approved cannabis legalization, was finally removed from the federal budget
SAFE Banking legislation, which would allow cannabis businesses to work with banks, was added to a must-pass spending bill
Congress will break for the holidays in just a few days, so our window to pass federal cannabis reform before the midterm campaign season will soon close. Which priorities do you think are most important in the time we have left?
Passing a federal cannabis legalization bill through the House and the Senate
Pressuring President Biden’s Department of Justice to end federal cannabis prohibition and pardon individuals convicted of nonviolent cannabis-related offenses
Laying the groundwork for additional states to legalize cannabis
Ensuring SAFE Banking language remains in the must-pass legislation and is signed into law
On a personal level, how important is cannabis reform to you?
It’s my main priority!
It’s very important
It’s a little important
It’s not that important
What actions are you willing to take to help bring about federal cannabis reform?
I will vote for pro-cannabis reform candidates
I will call my lawmakers in support of reform
I will contribute to organizations that are fighting for cannabis reform
If cannabis reform is important to you, we need your help. We’re working to persuade lawmakers and get cannabis reform passed before the clock runs out. WIll you rush a $15 contribution to support our work?
Yes, I’ll chip in $15
This issue is really important to me, and I know time is of the essence, so I’ll pitch in more than $15
I’m sorry, but I can’t chip in right now
