MPP worked with a wonderful coalition of patient advocates to legalize medical marijuana in Pennsylvania on April 17, 2016. Now it’s time to raise money to implement the new law, while also raising money to pass legalization bills in Delaware and Maryland.
On Sunday, July 24 — the night before the Democratic National Convention begins — we invite you to join the Marijuana Policy Project (MPP) and our many allies for a fundraising reception in the Lincoln Memorial Room at the Union League of Philadelphia. Our thanks to Lindy Snider for her generous sponsorship and for inviting us to this historic venue.
Our honored guest, Congressman Earl Blumenauer (D-OR), has been fighting for marijuana policy reform for 40 years.
Also joining us are co-sponsor of SB 3, Sen. Daylin Leach (D-PA), and retired Philadelphia Flyers hockey player Riley Cote, founder of the Hemp Heals Foundation.
MPP’s Rob Kampia will give an overview of legalization efforts in Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland, and New Jersey, along with a glimpse into how implementation of the Pennsylvania medical marijuana law will work. Proceeds from this event will support MPP’s ongoing work in Pennsylvania and allow us to continue the fight to end marijuana prohibition nationwide.
Only 100 tickets are available for this special event. Cocktails and hors d’oeuvres will be served. Please note that the Union League has dress code requirements; see website for details.
For general questions and to inquire about buying tickets at the door, please contact MPP’s Leah Harris at [email protected].
We hope to see you in Philly on July 24!
