Please join the Marijuana Policy Project for a reception on May 11 from 6–8 p.m. in downtown Baltimore. We’ll be meeting to connect with our supporters in Maryland and to discuss the upcoming legislative push to legalize marijuana in the state. MPP’s executive director, Rob Kampia, and legislative counsel, Kate Bell, will provide an inside look at what’s happening in Maryland as we work to end prohibition in the state. Former Baltimore Ravens offensive tackle Eugene Monroe, whose experience in the NFL led him to join the medical cannabis industry, will also be joining us.
MPP currently leads the advocacy effort for the legalization of adult use in Maryland, after having successfully led the effort to decriminalize in 2014. We’re poised for even more progress in the years to come. Sixty-four percent of likely Maryland voters support making cannabis legal for adults, according to a Washington Post-University of Maryland poll conducted in September 2016.
Proceeds from this event will support MPP’s ongoing work in Maryland and allow us to continue the fight to end marijuana prohibition nationwide.
