Bipartisan medical marijuana bill introduced in Wisconsin

Message:

That's right. On Monday, Rep. Gregg Underheim (R-Oshkosh) introduced\Assembly Bill 892, which would protect seriously ill Wisconsinites from criminal penalties. It is now in the Health Committee, which Rep. Underheim chairs.

Unfortunately, Assembly Speaker John Gard (R-Peshtigo) said the bill has "got a big mountain to climb" and that "the odds are stacked against [Underheim]." We need your help to change those odds and make sure this bill moves. Please contact your legislators. If your legislators have cosponsored A.B. 892, please thank them; if not, please urge them to do so.

Please take a few moments to visit Take Action. After you choose your favorite pre-written letter and type in your address, our site will automatically e-mail your letter to your legislator … all with the click of a few buttons. The whole process takes less than two minutes, but it makes a world of difference. Also, you can print the letters and send them to your legislators through regular mail.

A.B. 892 is cosponsored by Representatives Terese Berceau (D-76th Assembly District), Spencer Black (D-77th Assembly District), Frank Boyle (D-73rd Assembly District), Eugene Hahn (R-47th Assembly District), Terry Musser (R-92nd Assembly District), Joe Plouff (D-29th Assembly District), Mark Pocan (D-78th Assembly District), Sondy Pope-Roberts (D-79th Assembly District), Marlin Schneider (D-72nd Assembly District), Gary Sherman (D-74th Assembly District), Lena Taylor (D-18th Assembly District), Josh Zepnick (D-9th Assembly District), and Senator Tim Carpenter (D-Third Assembly District).

Thank you for supporting the Marijuana Policy Project. Please pass this information on so that even more voices for reform can be heard.
