Title:

Wash.: “YES” on I-502!

Message:

According to The Seattle Times, the good people of Washington approved I-502 – a ballot measure to allow adults 21 and older to possess up to an ounce of marijuana and to buy marijuana from regulated vendors. Please be aware that the law does not take effect until December 6, 2012.

Washington joins Colorado as the first two states to repeal state marijuana prohibition and replace it with a system of regulation and taxation. This victory is a direct result of your work: donations, phone calls to family and friends in support of I-502, voting, etc. Marijuana prohibition in Washington is over because of you.

Please join us in singing our thanks and praises for all of the good and hard work of Alison Holcomb, Pete Holmes, Rick Steves, Rep. Mary Lou Dickerson, and all of the sponsors, as well as the focused reformers at New Approach Washington! They ran a sophisticated and well-researched campaign and have proven to be shepherds of historic change.

Thank you again for all of your help. Together, we made history!
