Title:
Wash.: Drop off your ballot!
Message:
The 2012 General Election is quickly coming to an end. You should have received your ballot in the mail weeks ago; have you filled it out and returned it yet? If so, thank you for exercising your right to vote. If not, your ballot must be dropped off at an official election drop box by 8 p.m. tomorrow, Tuesday, Nov. 6, or postmarked no later than Nov. 6.
Voting is especially important in 2012 because Washington is one of three states asking their residents if failed marijuana prohibition should be repealed and replaced with a system of taxation and regulation. Polling has the measure ahead, but nothing should be taken for granted. Make sure your vote counts by dropping off your ballot or mailing it in prior to tomorrow’s deadline!
Finally, if you have some time today, contact your friends and family in Washington and ask them to vote “Yes” on I-502. A personal message from a friend or loved one is much more persuasive to voters than any campaign ad. If you’re looking for inspiration, there’s plenty of it on New Approach Washington’s site.
