Come to a reception supporting a marijuana policy reformer's candidacy

By now, you've surely heard about Roger Goodman, the Democratic candidate for the Washington State House of Representatives who supports taxing and regulating marijuana! Roger is running in the 45th District. He is holding a reception in Seattle in order to gather support and raise some money for his campaign -- and you're invited.

WHAT: Reception honoring Democrat Roger Goodman, candidate for State House of Representatives

WHEN: Tuesday, September 26, 5:30-7:30 p.m.
WHERE: Newmark Tower, 5th floor. 1415 Second Avenue, Seattle, WA

RSVP: Rachel at (206) 227-2561 or rachelkurtz13@gmail.com

Winning a campaign takes money, and Roger sincerely appreciates any donation you can make. Please make checks payable to Friends of Roger Goodman. If you cannot make the reception, you may mail your contribution to 218 Main Street, Box 763, Kirkland, WA 98033.

Roger is a graduate of Dartmouth, George Washington University Law School, and Harvard's Kennedy School of Government. He was chief of staff to U.S. Rep. Rick Boucher (D-VA) and legislative director for Rep. Bob Wise (D-WV) on Capitol Hill. He spent the last few years working with various medical, religious, and other professional organizations on an initiative promoting drug sentencing reform and treatment. The revolutionary initiative passed the state legislature and is saving Washington millions of dollars  while providing effective and humane alternatives to the unnecessary incarceration of many of Washingtons citizens.

And if you cant make the reception and would like to donate online, you can do that at this page today

Please note that contributions for the office of Washington State Representative may not exceed $700 per person for the general election. Additionally, state law requires Roger Goodman report the name, mailing address, occupation, and name of employer for each individual whose contributions aggregate in excess of $100 in a calendar year.

I hope that you can make the event and show your support for Roger. His chances are looking good, and he needs to raise funds to guarantee his success. I urge you to support a candidate dedicated to instituting more effective drug policies in Washington.

Sincerely,

Rob Kampia
