WOODSTOCK, N.H. — The town moderator in Woodstock didn't need those three plastic cups after all.
Ken Chapman, showing his humorous side, displayed the cups at Tuesday's town meeting, which featured a warrant article that would have required selectmen to undergo drug testing.
Supporters of the proposal said they wanted town officials to set a good example for children. But the town's lawyer said such testing would have been illegal, and voters overwhelmingly rejected it. |
