MONTPELIER, Vt.—A lawyer and former part-time family court judge is losing her law license for three months after more than two pounds of marijuana was found in her Windsor home.
The Vermont Professional Responsibility Board says that after 62-year-old Martha Davis has her license restored she will be on probation for a year.
The board recommended the action last month. It was made final this week.
Davis told officials she used the marijuana to alleviate the pain of migraine headaches.
After the charges against Davis became public she was removed from a position of part-time judge.
The criminal case referred to the court diversion program. Records says Davis completed the program and won't have a criminal record. |
