VT: Please call Senators Mullin and Doyle ASAP!

Message:

Medical marijuana dispensaries bill in their hands

Senators Kevin Mullin (R–Rutland) and William Doyle (R–Washington) are the key swing votes in a pivotal, unexpected committee vote that will be happening as soon as this afternoon. Please call Sen. Mullin and Sen. Doyle, and ask them not to kill S. 17, the medical marijuana dispensaries bill.

When you call, please be polite and respectful. Tell them that this bill is in the Rules Committee because the agency tasked with regulating dispensaries asked for more time. It would be unfair to the Department of Public Safety and, more importantly, to patients throughout the state to kill the bill as a result. There are nearly 400 people in Vermont with serious illnesses like cancer, HIV/AIDS, and multiple sclerosis whose doctors have recommended marijuana, but who have no legal means to obtain it. S. 17 would solve this problem by establishing a limited number of tightly regulated dispensaries that would be able to dispense marijuana to registered patients.

Once again, please call and share your support for S. 17 with Senators Kevin Mullin and William Doyle. This is urgent, so please forward this message to your friends or post it on you favorite social networking site after you make your call. Thanks everyone!
