Vt.: MPP Fundraiser Wednesday in Burlington

Message:

Nectar’s hosting MPP benefit; House begins work on S. 17

I’m very happy to announce that Nectar’s, Burlington’s go-to spot for live music, will be hosting an MPP benefit this Wednesday, April 20. This is a win-win; just $5 gets you in, and proceeds from the night will go to fund MPP’s work in Vermont. In addition to live music, I’ll be there, along with our lobbyists and State Rep. Jason Lorber, to talk about MPP and legislation we’re working to pass in Vermont.

What: Fundraiser to benefit MPP

Where: Nectar’s, 188 Main St., Burlington - (802) 658-4771

When: Wednesday, April 20 (doors open at 8:00 p.m.)

Who: MPP’s Dan Riffle, State Rep. Jason Lorber, and others, along with live music from Funkwagon and The Linguistic Civilians

Speaking of which, S. 17, a bill that would establish up to four state-licensed dispensaries, was passed by the Senate last week, and now heads to the House. Committees will begin studying the bill soon, so now is the time to contact your state representative and urge him or her to give Vermont’s most vulnerable citizens a safe and legal option for obtaining doctor-recommended medicine.

Ask your state representative to vote “yes” on S. 17!

Thanks everyone, and please come out to support MPP Wednesday night at Nectar’s in Burlington.

P.S. If you can’t make it to Nectar’s Wednesday, but would still like to support MPP, here’s the link. Thanks!
