Title:

Vermont House to vote on dispensaries today

Message:

We just received word that S. 17, a bill that would expand Vermont’s medical marijuana program to provide access to patients through state-regulated dispensaries, is expected to be on the calendar for debate today, Wednesday, in the Vermont House of Representatives. This comes after the House Appropriations Committee approved the bill, 7-4. Both the Human Services and Ways and Means Committees approved the bill last week.

Now is the time to tell your state representative to vote “yes” on S. 17.

There are two ways you can get involved. Calls are most effective, and we’ve set up a page with a suggested call script and talking points for you to take a minute to call your representative and leave him or her a message. If you’re short on time and can’t make a call, we’ve got pre-written messages you can edit and send here.

Whichever you choose, please act now, and tell your friends to do the same. Patients in Vermont have cards, but many have no way to obtain the medicine they need. Let’s fix that by passing S. 17.
