Tennessee medical marijuana bills scheduled for next week -- testimony from patients and medical professionals wanted!

The twin Tennessee medical marijuana bills, HB 486 and SB 641, will be heard in committee next week. The [House] Health and Human Resources Committee was scheduled to hear HB 486 on Tuesday, May 1... but the hearing was postponed one week. HB 486 will now be heard on May 8. Additionally, SB 641 is scheduled for a hearing in [Senate] General Welfare, Health and Human Services Committee on Wednesday, May 9.
With these two important committee hearings coming up, it is imperative that solid, articulate witnesses testify in support of the bills. Therefore, if you are — or know — a medical marijuana patient or a medical professional who has experience with medical marijuana patients (or who supports a patient's right to relief), please e-mail Anthony@mpp.org right away.
In order to be effective, it is important that we be able to coordinate witness testimony. If you think you can appear next week, please contact us immediately rather than simply showing up. We will also be able to help you fine-tune your testimony, to ensure that your presence has the greatest possible effect.

The medical marijuana bills have a decent shot at making it out of committee this year.
