Support medical marijuana reform in Tennessee at the Save Bernie's Farm benefit concert

Published: April 23, 2007

Tennessean Bernie Ellis is one of the more visible medical marijuana activists in the country. In 2002, the Tennessee Marijuana Eradication Task Force raided his farm, where he was growing medical marijuana for himself and four other seriously ill patients all of whom have since died. As a result of the ensuing legal battles, Bernie has spent the past 18 months in a federal halfway house in Nashville.

Visit Bernie's Web site to read more about his story.

The federal government is currently pursuing a "civil asset forfeiture" case against Bernie and attempting to confiscate his Maury County farm. This farm has been Bernie's home for almost four decades. This outrage has led Bernie and his friends to organize a benefit event and concert to raise awareness for the medical marijuana movement in Tennessee, and to raise money for his legal fees.

Please come to the event! This will be a great opportunity for activists to mingle and support a man who's had to make some real sacrifices for the cause of medical marijuana. Click here for more details.
