MPP’s Rhode Island voter guide!

Message:

In less than two weeks, the good people of the Ocean State will head to their local polling places to cast their ballots in the 2012 General Election. As a service to our subscribers, the Marijuana Policy Project has put together this voter guide highlighting certain state candidates’ positions on issues related to marijuana policy.

As you know, it’s vital to have a state legislature that is both willing to take an honest look at current policy and courageous enough to vote for change when necessary. We did not highlight every race, but included information on those who returned our candidate surveys along with the intel we have previously gathered on a few select races. Please pass this along to friends and family in Little Rhody as well.

Unfortunately, Sen. Rhoda Perry will be retiring from the state Senate after 22 years of service. Sen. Perry has been a champion of marijuana policy reform and a staunch ally of medical marijuana patients and their caregivers. Please take a moment to email Sen. Perry thanking her for her service. If you or those close to you have benefited from the medical marijuana law, please share your story with her in our editable letters.
