Even though the Josephine Interagency Narcotics Team, J.O.I.N.T., has been disbanded, the Josephine County Sheriff's Office plans to engage in plenty of drug enforcement operations.

The sheriff's office has its own internal drug investigation team, and still works with the federal Drug Enforcement Agency. As such, J.C.S.O. is preparing for the major marijuana harvests that occur locally towards the end of summer and into the fall.

The marijuana eradication efforts are not hampered by local budgetary issues, because they are federally funded.
