The 2012 General Election is quickly coming to an end. You should have received your ballot in the mail weeks ago; have you filled it out and returned it yet? If so, thank you for exercising your right to vote. If not, your ballot must be received by 8 p.m. Tuesday, November 6 (tomorrow). You can find your nearest drop site here.
Voting is especially important in 2012 because Oregon is one of three states asking their residents if failed marijuana prohibition should be repealed and replaced with a system of taxation and regulation. Polling has the measure behind, but support has been on the rise giving supporters hope. Make sure your vote counts by dropping off your ballot prior to tomorrow’s deadline!
Finally, if you have some time today, contact your friends and family in Oregon and ask them to vote “Yes” on Measure 80. A personal message from a friend or loved one is much more persuasive to voters than any campaign ad. If you’re looking for inspiration, there’s plenty of it on the Yes on Measure 80 site.
