OR: 7 + 4 for Measure 74!

Message:

Seven weeks. Four people.

This is how we need you to think about Measure 74, the Nonprofit Dispensary Program. Seven and four makes 74. We now have SEVEN weeks until the end of voting on this ballot initiative. And voting will begin in earnest even earlier when ballots arrive at homes throughout the state.

So if that is the seven weeks, what is the four people? I am glad you asked. We need you, starting as soon as you can, to convince at least FOUR people to vote for this initiative. You can do this, can't you?

You don't necessarily have to convince people firmly opposed to the initiative to change their position — although good for you if you do. Instead, we need you to find friends and family members who are not sure how they are going to vote and educate them about how important it is for registered medical marijuana patients to have safe and reliable access to the medicine they need.

You could also satisfy the four people goal by encouraging supportive friends and family members to vote or to register to vote if they are not registered already. It is almost certain that you know people who voted in 2008, but who might not be planning to vote this year. Start reaching out now, and then give them a call after ballots arrive and tell them to be sure to return their ballots after voting for Measure 74. They could even leave the rest of the ballot blank!

We expect this election to be very close. So we truly need every person on this list to take this challenge seriously. Be sure to find your four. And if you are feeling good about your efforts after reaching four, keep going! We assure you there is nothing more rewarding than celebrating a victory on election night, knowing that you helped make it happen.

Now let's get to work!
