Kris Olson, former U.S. Attorney for the District of Oregon, says "YES" to Measure 74

Published: October 21, 2010

It’s voting time! Have you completed your ballot yet?

As we noted yesterday, Oregonians have a unique opportunity to pass Measure 74, an important initiative that will, for the first time, regulate Oregon’s medical marijuana supply system. Measure 74 will create safe, timely, and compassionate access for Oregon’s medical marijuana patients. It will be good for Oregon’s patients and for all citizens of Oregon. So, what are you waiting for?

Former federal prosecutor, Kris Olson, points out that “Oregon already has solid regulations to verify patients’ qualifications for medical marijuana use. Measure 74 extends that regulatory system to cover their supply of this medicine. It is a responsible next step.” Please join Kris Olson in voting YES on Measure 74! It’s the responsible thing to do.

The most important thing you can do to pass Measure 74 is VOTE! By now, you should have received your ballot in the mail. If you are registered to vote and have not received your ballot by October 22, call your county elections office.

Once you complete your ballot, you have the choice of mailing your ballot in or returning it to any county elections office or any designated drop site in the state. Remember, the voted ballot must be received in any county elections office or designated drop site by 8pm on election night. Postmarks do not count! If you have any questions, please visit the Oregon Secretary of State website or call your county elections office.

Please also urge other Oregonians to follow suit. Forward this e-mail, post the message to your social networking sites, and otherwise spread the word in any way you can. Also, if you can give $5, $10, $20, $100, or any amount to the Measure 74 campaign, please visit the Measure 74 campaign website today! These funds are needed to encourage more Oregonians to vote for this important measure.

Thank you in advance for your YES VOTE on 74!
