For patients: Vote YES on Measure 74

Published: October 25, 2010

Oregon’s patients need you to speak out for them. So have you voted yet?

Many patients who qualify under Oregon’s law are entitled to use medical marijuana but have difficulty accessing a consistent, quality supply of their medicine. Measure 74 will remedy this issue. Just ask patient Alice Ivany: “The system in Measure 74 would be a dramatic, possibly life-saving change for me and other patients. We could go to regulated clinics to get our medicine, knowing that the supply is produced with standards for consistent quality.”

If you’d like to help improve the lives of Oregon’s patients, the most effective thing you can do is vote YES on Measure 74! By now, you should have received your ballot in the mail. If you are registered to vote and have not received your ballot, call your county elections office as soon as possible.

Once you complete your ballot, you have the choice of mailing it in or returning it to any county elections office or any designated drop site in the state. Remember, the completed ballot must be received in any county elections office or designated drop site by 8pm on election night. Postmarks do not count! If you have any questions, please visit the Oregon Secretary of State website or call your county elections office.

Please urge other Oregonians to vote YES on 74 by spreading the word in any way you can. You can forward this e-mail or post a message to your social networking sites. Also, if you can give $5, $10, $20, $100, or any amount to the Measure 74 campaign, please visit the Measure 74 campaign website today! These funds are needed to encourage more Oregonians to vote for this important measure.

Marijuana is medicine. It’s time to start treating it as such. Thank you for supporting medical marijuana patients by mailing your ballot today!
