Title:

Ask your legislators to introduce a medical marijuana bill

Message:

Each year, MPP hears from countless state legislators who say citizens are not interested in medical marijuana, despite its overwhelming support as noted in countless public opinion polls.

Medical marijuana, they say, simply is not an important issue for the overwhelming majority of voters.

Only you can change that perception. Please take a few minutes and visit MPP's Oklahoma web site where you can directly e-mail your state representative and state senator.

Tell them that medical marijuana is an important issue, and they should take action to protect patients from arrest and prosecution under state law, if they use the drug with their doctors' approval.

Several pre-written letters are provided for your convenience, and if you prefer, you can print out the letters and send them to legislators through regular mail. Addresses to legislators are also provided.

The 2002 legislative session begins on February 4, so it is important that you act soon. With your help, medical marijuana will not be left off the legislature's agenda again.
