Title:

Act now to stop a bad marijuana bill

Message:

A bad DUID bill may come up for a crucial vote in the Ohio State Senate as early as tomorrow, but it's not too late to act. The bill, S.B. 215, would outlaw driving under the influence of trace amounts of marijuana metabolites, which may be found in a person's body weeks after he or she has used marijuana. Please contact your state senators today and urge them to oppose this unfair bill.

Please take a few moments to Take Action. After you choose your favorite pre-written letter and type in your address, our site will automatically e-mail your letter to your senators … all with the click of a few buttons. The whole process takes less than two minutes, but it makes a world of difference.

These kinds of DUID laws are commonly known as "zero tolerance per se" laws. DUID bills like S.B. 215 are being introduced across the nation by uninformed legislators who do not realize that metabolites of marijuana do not reflect an individual's level of intoxication. The passage of S.B. 215 is by no means assured.

It is up to you to inform your legislators that these laws are unfair and restrictive.

Thank you for supporting the Marijuana Policy Project. Please pass this information on so that even more people can participate in reform.
