Public
support for medical marijuana remains strong in New York. Here are some polls
from the last several years.
- A 2007 Mason-Dixon
poll found that even 55% of Conservative Party voters favor removing
criminal sanctions for doctor-recommended medical marijuana patients, as
well as support of 61%-76% in six state senate districts across the state.
- A 2009
Mason-Dixon poll found support ranging between 65-77% in three upstate
senate districts represented by moderate Republicans.
- A February 2010 Quinnipiac Poll found that 71% of all New
Yorkers believe it’s a good idea to allow adults to legally use
doctor-prescribed medical marijuana.
