Joel Peacock, 57, Buffalo

"I'm a Conservative Party member who was forced to retire from my job as a construction project manager due to the chronic, severe pain I have from a 2001 car accident. Every month, I use thousands of dollars of prescription pain medicines that offer me little relief. And, my wife is unable to retire because without her insurance, I wouldn't be able to afford my medicine. I know medical marijuana could work at least as effectively as the medications I now take. I tried it once when I was unable to access my prescriptions. Please give me and thousands of other suffering New Yorkers the legal option of the relief that medical marijuana can offer us."
