Title:
Tell Gov. Cuomo: It’s time to “evolve” on medical marijuana!
Message:
New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo shifted from his oppositional tone on medical marijuana last week, saying “the situation is an evolving one,” and “I think it’s something that we need to move slowly and we need to move carefully... but I have an open mind.”
Legislators in Albany have been moving “slowly” and “carefully” on this issue for many years. Meanwhile, many patients are struggling with serious illnesses in the Empire State, and they don’t have time for Gov. Cuomo to move any more slowly!
Please call Gov. Cuomo today and tell him it’s time to support the needs of New York patients!
Sen. Diane Savino and Asm. Richard Gottfried have introduced twin bills (S4406 and A6357, respectively) that would create a well-regulated medical marijuana program in New York.
Contact your legislators today and urge them to support these sensible, compassionate bills. Then, please pass this on to your friends and family in New York. With support for marijuana policy reform at record levels, there is no better time for politicians to “evolve” than the present!
