Title:
N.H.: Veto? So what? House passes medical marijuana 236-96!
Message:
In yet another powerful affirmation that support for medical marijuana transcends partisan boundaries, the Republican-dominated New Hampshire House voted overwhelmingly today to pass SB 409.
Sadly, Gov. Lynch has renewed his heartless veto threat, so the task ahead is now clear. We need to convince three additional senators to support SB 409.
Fortunately, this bill has a great deal of momentum, and several senators have indicated they are interested in learning more about the bill. You can read more details about today’s vote and its significance here at the MPP blog.
SB 409 will now be assigned to a second committee in the House, but the process of building momentum in the Senate continues in earnest. Please visit this convenient page now to see how your senator voted March 28 and send him or her a “thank you” or “why not?” email.
Your emails and calls really do make a difference. Let’s turn the heat up one more notch on senators who voted no!
