NH: Medical marijuana hearing coming up in Senate next Thursday
Published: April 8, 2011
Ask your senator to stand up for compassion.
After H.B. 442’s
overwhelming
passage in the House (221-96), it is headed to the Senate, where it will
receive a committee hearing next Thursday, April 14. If you are
a supportive nurse, doctor, seriously ill patient, or law enforcement
professional, please contact Kirk McNeil, executive director of NH
Compassion at kirk@mkmcneil.com,
if you might be interested in testifying.
Whether or not you’ll be testifying, if you would like to
attend the hearing, we urge you to dress in professional attire. The hearing is Thursday, April 14 at 1:00 p.m.
before the Senate Health and Human Services Committee at the State House, Room
100.
Please ask
your senator to support medical marijuana bill, H.B. 442!
In 2009, medical marijuana legislation passed both chambers
by strong margins before Gov. Lynch ultimately vetoed it. Thirteen of the
Senate’s 24 members are new, so we can’t take anything for granted, and it’s
vital that compassionate Granite Staters reach out to their senators.
Thank you for your time. Let’s make this happen together!
