N.H.: Candlelight vigil tonight, plus two newspapers call for passage of SB 409!

Message:

SB 409 is now heading to what’s called a “Committee of Conference.” This means a small committee is being formed to reconcile differences between the House version and the Senate version before SB 409 moves on to Gov. Lynch’s desk. The Senate could vote as early as next week on the committee’s report, so please take this opportunity to contact your senator.

Tonight, some SB 409 advocates have decided to hold a candlelight vigil in front of the State House (107 North Main Street, Concord) from 7:30-8:30 p.m. Sorry for the late notice — all are welcome to attend and show support.

Finally, we’re pleased to have earned two major editorial endorsements this week: the Concord Monitor and the Seacoast Media Group (Portsmouth Herald, Exeter News-Letter, Hampton Union). Yesterday, the Monitor urged Gov. Lynch to “let compassion triumph over fear,” and today the Seacoast Media Group published a very strong argument in favor of the bill.

We are very grateful for your support this year. To help us get SB 409 across the finish line, please assist MPP’s efforts by making a financial contribution today!
