Title:

Call your N.H. senator today — vote tomorrow

Message:

Tomorrow afternoon, the New Hampshire Senate will vote on whether or not seriously ill patients will continue to be criminalized for using medical marijuana. Please make sure your senator hears from you before casting his or her vote.

Please call your senator now and ask him or her to vote “yes” on this compassionate and carefully crafted bill, SB 409. Once you type in your address, we’ll provide your senator’s number and a sample script. If you can’t call, you can send an email instead.

Although polling shows 71% of New Hampshire voters support medical marijuana, legislators don’t realize this is an issue voters care about unless they hear from them. Last year, the Senate tabled medical marijuana legislation rather than voting on it, and in 2009 the Senate came two votes shy of overriding Gov. John Lynch’s veto. This year — thanks to hundreds of calls from supporters — the committee vote was unanimous and momentum is on our side. We can’t let this opportunity slip away.

Please take action now, and then ask your friends and family to do so as well. Help make this the year that New Hampshire’s medical marijuana patients finally get relief.
