BREAKING: N.H. Senate passes medical marijuana bill! Contact Gov. Lynch now!
The New Hampshire Senate just voted 14-10 in favor of HB 648, the medical marijuana bill. New Hampshire is now very close to becoming the 14th state to stop arresting patients for using medical marijuana with their doctors' recommendations.
Gov. John Lynch (D) has expressed concerns about the bill and it is vital that he hear that Granite Staters support protecting patients. Please use our automated system to send Gov. Lynch a free fax now and urge him to sign the bill. Then please take a moment to follow up with a phone call.
The version of the bill that the Senate passed today is a little different than the version the House passed in March. This means that the bill has to go back to the House for its approval before it goes to Gov. Lynch for his approval.
That gives us more time to make sure Gov. Lynch sees the widespread support that exists for this compassionate bill. Polling shows that 71% of New Hampshire voters support it, but Gov. Lynch needs to see this support firsthand. Please fax or call Gov. Lynch now.
Suffering and dying New Hampshire patients are very close to getting the protection they need and deserve. Please forward this message to your friends, family, and e-mail lists so they can help protect seriously ill patients too. Thank you for supporting MPP and our allies in New Hampshire. |
