Watch video: New Reno ads attack DA Gammick for anti-marijuana stance

A Nevada marijuana advocacy group has produced a TV ad attacking Washoe County District Attorney Dick Gammick's stance against pot legalization.

The ads, which were produced by Nevadans for Sensible Marijuana Laws, claim that 25 to 30 percent of all violent crimes are alcohol-related. The spot goes on to claim that marijuana is less harmful than alcohol and doesn't lead to violent behavior.

The ad ends with the line, "Doesn't D.A. Gammick want people in Washoe County to be safer?"

The ads are scheduled to begin running locally today.
