Preliminary Hearing Set for N.H.P. Trooper
The N.H.P. trooper accused of being under the influence of marijuana and causing a deadly crash will have a preliminary hearing in October.
Sergeant Edward Lattin is charged with causing the deadly three-vehicle crash that happened last month when he rear-ended a car killing one person and injuring two others.
Prosecutors said Tuesday they may take the case against 46-year-old Edward Lattin to a grand jury before the Oct. 15 evidentiary hearing.
Lattin has worked for N.H.P. for 17 years and was the supervisor of the fatal detail unit. At this time, Lattin is on paid administrative leave pending the outcome of the investigation. He was freed from jail last week on $50,000 bail.
Lattin and his lawyer declined comment after his brief court appearance. |
