Title:

Medical marijuana reintroduced in Missouri

Message:

Rep. Mike Colona (D-St. Louis) is again sponsoring legislation that would allow patients with debilitating conditions, such as HIV/AIDS, cancer, and multiple sclerosis, to use and possess marijuana for medical purposes if their doctors recommend it. As with versions of legislation Colona has sponsored previously, HB 688 would put the question to voters on the November 2014 general election ballot.

Urge your legislators to support patients and pass HB 688.

If passed by the legislature and approved by voters, HB 688 would allow patients whose doctors recommend it to possess up to one ounce of marijuana and cultivate their own, or have a caregiver grow it for them. Patients would also be able to purchase marijuana from state-regulated dispensing organizations.

Polls show most voters support medical marijuana, but Missouri legislators might not believe that’s true in Missouri. Help convince them supporting this compassionate proposal is the right thing to do by emailing your legislators today. Amplify the effect by forwarding this email to a friend or sharing it with your social network through Twitter or Facebook.

Thank you!
