Minnesota's medical marijuana bill passes last House committee!
Yesterday, the Minnesota House Ways and Means Committee voted 10-8 in favor of H.F. 292, which would allow seriously ill patients to use their doctor-recommended medicine without fear of arrest or prison.
This was the final committee to hear MPP's medical marijuana bill. Soon, the entire Minnesota House of Representatives will vote on whether to protect cancer, multiple sclerosis, and HIV/AIDS patients from criminal penalties for using medical marijuana to ease their suffering. Please contact your representative right now to let them know its time for Minnesota to have a compassionate, sensible medical marijuana law.
The House vote could happen any day now and it's crucial your representative hears from you. Please send an e-mail to your representative now and urge them to vote YES on H.F. 292! It takes just a few minutes with our easy-to-use online tool.
Also, if you could please donate at least $10 to our lobbying effort, you can help to make sure we have the resources we need to get this bill passed into law this year.
Thank you for all that you have done to get us to this point. We are on the brink of making 2009 the year Minnesota stops arresting medical marijuana patients! Please forward this e-mail to everyone you know in Minnesota, and lets make Minnesota the 14th medical marijuana state! |
