Title:
Medical marijuana bill to be heard in Senate committee'let's build the pressure
Message:
Thanks to sustained grassroots pressure from Marijuana Policy Project members and activists around the state, the Senate Health and Family Security Committee Chair Becky Lourey (DFL-Kerrick) has agreed to schedule S.F. 1973—the bipartisan medical marijuana bill—for a hearing on Tuesday at 6:00 p.m. Now it's time to bring pressure to bear on the members of the Senate committee who currently hold the bill's fate in their hands. Please act now.
Please call the senators below and ask them to vote "yes" on S.F. 1973. We need six votes to pass the bill out of committee. Our intelligence indicates that four members of the committee are confirmed "yes" votes. Two other members are leaning "yes," but they are not confirmed. They are:
Mee Moua (DFL-St. Paul) 651-296-5285
Leo Foley (DFL-Coon Rapids) 651-296-4154
The following members are undecided:
Sheila Kiscaden (IP-Rochester) 651-296-4848
Sean Nienow (R-Cambridge) 651-296-5419
The following members are confirmed "yes" votes. If you've read this far or live in a member's district, please call and thank the member for supporting this issue:
