Help gather signatures for medical marijuana initiative

Message:

Are you outraged that Minnesota threatens medical marijuana patients with arrest and prison? Want to turn your anger into action? Well, here's your chance.

Citizens Organized for Harm Reduction (COHR)—working in conjunction with MPP—has gathered more than 4,000 signatures to land the Minneapolis medical marijuana initiative on the November ballot. But we have only seven weeks to collect 8,000 more signatures.

What can you do?

Join us this weekend at one of Minneapolis' largest summer events— the Ashley Rukes GLBT Pride Festival—to help table the event and gather signatures.

  • When: Saturday, June 26, and Sunday, June 27
  • What: Ashley Rukes GLBT Pride Festival

For more details, please call COHR Administrative Coordinator Jason Samuels—at 612-872-0040—or e-mail him.

With your help, this event could significantly boost the number of signatures that we have gathered. If you can help out this weekend, please contact Jason Samuels no later than tomorrow night. If you're booked this weekend—but you still want to gather signatures—read on to see a schedule of future opportunities to help us place this initiative on the ballot.

Monday, June 28 through Thursday, July 1

  • 4:00 p.m.: New canvassers meet at Spyhouse Cafandeacute (25th Street and Nicollet Avenue)
  • 4:30 p.m.: Canvass orientation (across the street)
  • 5:00 p.m.: Organize and leave
  • 5:30 - 9:00 p.m.: Gather signatures

Thank you for supporting the Marijuana Policy Project. Please pass this information on so that even more voices for reform can be heard.
