Committee vote tomorrow night; let's win it

Message:

Tomorrow at 6:00 p.m., the Senate Health and Family Security Committee will hear and vote on medical marijuana bill S.F. 1973—and we need your help to get it passed through committee. So far the bill has only four confirmed "yes" votes, and it needs six votes to pass. Two members are leaning "yes," and two are undecided. If you haven't called the committee members yet, please act now.

Please call the senators below and ask them to vote "yes" on S.F. 1973.

Two members are leaning "yes," but they are not confirmed. They are:

Mee Moua (DFL-St. Paul) 651-296-5285

Leo Foley (DFL-Coon Rapids) 651-296-4154

The following members are undecided:

Sheila Kiscaden (IP-Rochester) 651-296-4848

Sean Nienow (R-Cambridge) 651-296-5419

The members who are confirmed as being opposed are:

Michelle Fischbach (R-Paynesville) 651-296-2084

Brian LeClair (R-Woodbury) 651-296-4166

Betsy Wergin (R-Princeton) 651-296-8075

To find your senator and his or her contact info, click here and type in your address. Then check to see if your state senator is one of the above.

If you live in a committee member's district, simply call the senator's office and tell whoever answers that you live in the senator's district, and that you strongly support S.F. 1973, the medical marijuana bill.

Please forward this information on to friends around Minnesota and ask them to start at the top. Thank you for supporting the Marijuana Policy Project.
