Ask House committee to give medical marijuana a hearing

Six medical marijuana bills were introduced in the Minnesota legislature last year with a total of 21 sponsors in the House and Senate.
Despite this strong showing, those bills received little attention. They will, however, remain pending when the legislature resumes business on January 29.
Please take a few minutes and visit MPP's Minnesota web site and send an e-mail to members of the House Committee on Crime Prevention.
Tell them to hold hearings for and support the medical marijuana bills in their committee.
Several pre-written letters are provided for your convenience, and if you prefer, you can print out the letters and send them to legislators through regular mail. Addresses to legislators are also provided.
The 2002 legislative session begins in less than three weeks, so it is important that you act soon. With your help, medical marijuana will not be left off the committee's agenda again.
