State senator targets marijuana bars
Michigan's medical marijuana law was written and passed by MPP, culminating in a landslide victory in November 2008 - 63% of voters approved the law, including a majority in every county in the state. Despite it's popular support, the law is not without its opponents, many of whom point to abuses of the law such as patients who drive while under the influence of marijuana. Sen. Rick Jones has introduced a bill he says is intended to prevent such abuses.

"I think Senator Jones is a fair man," Beck said. "We believe in his concepts, but the devil, in the end, will be in the details. We feel comfortable working with him."
