Michigan medical marijuana campaign strikes back!

The Michigan Coalition for Compassionate Care (MCCC) is not taking the desperate, mean-spirited TV ad the opposition has unleashed on the state lying down. Their opponents' campaign to arrest the sick and the dying has hit a new low, as they continue to rely exclusively on lies and scare tactics. And MCCC has had enough.

The campaign has released a response ad addressing the opponents' bogus claims head-on. You can watch it here. While MCCC's current ads featuring Michigan patients continue to air in markets throughout Michigan, the campaign has decided that the opposition's baseless fear-mongering cannot go unanswered.

Unfortunately, advertising rates have skyrocketed in these final days of what everyone agrees is a historic campaign cycle. The opposition has put real money behind their lying ad ... and proponents need to do the same. Would you please donate whatever you can today to help MCCC fight back?

No one should discount the urgency. The fact is that if MCCC matches the opposition dollar for dollar, the campaign will win. Michigan will become the 13th medical marijuana state and the first in the Midwest. But it's not too late for the opposition to succeed in their efforts to continue threatening cancer and AIDS patients with arrest and jail. Negative attack ads and scare tactics are a time-tested method of duping undecided voters ... but they can't be allowed to succeed this time.

Please take a look at MCCC's new ad and, if you agree that Michigan voters need to see the truth about Proposal 1 at this crucial moment, donate today. Even a $10, $20, or $25 donation could make the difference in this campaign ... and in the lives of countless suffering Michiganders who shouldn't be criminals for trying to alleviate their pain.

Thank you for your continued help and support of MPP and all of our allies.
