Rob Kampia, executive director of the Marijuana Policy Project, will be visiting the Detroit area next weekend for two events—one in Ypsilanti, the other in Ferndale.
On Saturday, April 5, Rob Kampia will be speaking at the Michigan Libertarian Party convention in Ypsilanti, which is being held at the Eagle Crest Conference Resort, at 1275 South Huron Street. (Please see http://www.mi.lp.org for details.) A dinner buffet and panel discussion will take place from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m.
On Sunday, April 6, Kampia will be speaking at The Green House, at 22757 Woodward, Suite 210, in Ferndale. (Please see The Green House map for directions.) This Green Party event is open to the public; there is no admission charge, but donations are encouraged. The speech and QandA will take place sometime between 5:00 and 8:00 p.m.
At both events, Kampia will present MPP's strategy for the 2003/2004 election cycle, including MPP's current work in the state legislatures and Congress, as well as MPP's plan to influence the presidential primaries in New Hampshire at the end of this year.
