Iowans quizzed Dennis Kucinich on medical marijuana, health care, renewable energy and the effort to impeach President Clinton during his visit Thursday to the Iowa State Fair.
Kucinich, one of nine Democrats running for president, spent more than half his time at The Des Moines Register's political soapbox answering questions, rather than giving a lengthy speech.
"I support medical marijuana," Kucinich said. "I believe that compassion requires that if anyone needs medical marijuana, their doctor makes that decision, that the government shouldn't be in a position where they're interfering."
