SSDP Midwest Conference this April


MPP is posting this alert on behalf of Students for Sensible Drug Policy.


Students for Sensible Drug Policy (SSDP) will present the 2005 annual Midwest Conference, entitled "Building the Foundation for Drug Policy Reform," at the University of Iowa, in Iowa City, on April 8 and 9. Speakers will train activists to develop knowledge and skills on topics ranging from industrial hemp and medical marijuana to lobbying legislators, grant writing, and fundraising.

The conference will be held at the Iowa Memorial Union at the University of Iowa. There is a $25 registration fee for non-UI students.

Conference attendees can stay at the Iowa City Sheraton—located at 210 S. Dubuque Street, Iowa City, Iowa—for a reduced room rate. Rooms can be reserved by clicking here or by calling 319-337-4058.
