Illinois: Legislators in their district offices this week -- please call your state senator and urge him or her to support this year's medical marijuana legislation

With a vote possible on the Senate floor any week now, we need everyone who has not yet called his or her state senator to do so immediately and ask him or her to support SB 2865.

Please call your state senator today, let him or her know that you are a constituent, and ask him or her to support SB 2865. If you have a personal story to tell about how medical marijuana has helped you or a loved one, please be sure to share — even better, request an appointment to speak with your senator personally about this issue.

If you are able to schedule an appointment this week, please download some of our handouts and brochures to take with you. You may also want to print out and distribute the patient flyers we have prepared.

After you have spoken with your senator's office, follow up with a short e-mail thanking him or her for listening to your concerns and share some very compelling patient video testimonials with him or her. Even if you have already called your senator in the past, please take a few seconds to send your senator a short e-mail so that he or she can see these videos.
