Title:

Ill.: Medical marijuana bill gaining momentum

Message:

As you may have noticed in today’s Tribune, support for passing medical marijuana legislation in Illinois is picking up steam thanks to the decision by House Republican Minority Leader Tom Cross (R-Oswego) to switch positions and support the bill. In fact, several outlets reported today that the bill has a very real chance of passing in the House as soon as next week. Now that momentum is with us, we need to seize this opportunity and get the bill through the House.

Please contact your elected officials and tell them you support medical marijuana.

Rep. Lou Lang (D-Skokie), the bill’s sponsor, has indicated he’s looking at calling the bill to the floor as soon as next week, so time is short. Please take just a moment to send an email. When you’re done, you can post this link [http://tinyurl.com/4bxpt9u] on Facebook, Twitter, and any other social networking site you use. If you’ve got some time and want to take it a step further, here are some tips on writing and submitting a letter to the editor.

Thanks for all you do!
