Help advance Illinois' medical marijuana bill

With a vote on SB 2865 possible virtually anytime, we need your help to ensure this legislation has enough support to be brought up for a vote on the Senate floor before the January 13, 2009 deadline.

Please take the following three actions:

#1 Using MPP's sign-up sheets, collect at least 10 valid e-mail addresses and send them to us. You can scan and e-mail the information you collect to Nathan@mpp.org or mail it to MPP legislative analyst Nathan Miller at P.O. Box 77492, Washington, DC 20013.

#2 Submit a letter to the editor of your local newspaper expressing the need for a medical marijuana law in Illinois with the help of MPP legislative analyst Nathan Miller. To get started, send a rough draft of your letter to Nathan@mpp.org today. Please keep your rough draft to less than 200 words, check your spelling, and stay on topic.

#3 Send your state senator an e-mail letting him or her know how important this legislation is.
