Letter: End the Endless War

I agree with two recent letters to the editor, which outline the absurdity of medical marijuana laws. In fact, the only drug law that is more absurd is the prohibition of marijuana itself.

A war is won when the enemy is neutralized, and, under defined conditions, it becomes an ally as well. Legalization would delete marijuana as an enemy, and it would become an ally in the creation of legal jobs and revenue.

It is not necessary for all to agree with every characteristic of a former enemy, but having it as a dubious ally working for us is an intelligent and pragmatic alternative to a war without end.
