Title:
HI: Reminder – e-mail your senator in support of marijuana reform
Message:
The Hawaii Senate will vote on two important bills on Tuesday, March 8. If you have not
already done so, please take a minute to e-mail your senator in support of both
of these bills.
Ask your senator to support safe
access by voting “yes” on SB 1458. This bill will create a licensed system of medical marijuana
distribution that will benefit both the state and Hawaii’s patients. This new
system will allow the state to have adequate oversight on medical marijuana
while supplying patients with safe and reliable access to the
medicine they need. Please e-mail your senator to ask
that he or she vote “yes” on SB 1458.
Next, please take an additional minute to ask your senator to vote “yes” on SB 1460. SB 1460
would decriminalize possession of up to an ounce of marijuana. This proposal
will end the draconian practice of criminalizing otherwise law-abiding adults
because they possess a small amount of a non-toxic substance. In addition, it
will redirect precious law enforcement time to violent crimes. Don’t hesitate; ask your senator to vote “yes” on SB 1460 today.
Thank you for helping reform Hawaii’s marijuana laws.
