Hawaii: Submit testimony in support of H.B. 688 TODAY!

Message:

H.B. 688, H.D. 2 is scheduled for a hearing in the Senate Health and Public Safety, Intergovernmental, and Military Affairs (PSM) Committees. This bill would transfer jurisdiction of the medical marijuana program from the Department of Public Safety to the Department of Public Health. The committee will accept testimony until 5:00 p.m. TODAY, so it is important that you submit your remarks now.

This bill has already been voted out of the House. In fact, you may have already submitted testimony in support. If so, you can reuse the same testimony, but be sure to change the details of the hearing (committee, chair, date, etc.). More information and talking points in support of the legislation can be found on the Medical Cannabis Coalition of Hawaii’s website.

This change is a long time coming for the medical marijuana community in Hawaii. Please make sure to help see it come to fruition by submitting supportive testimony now. After you’re done with that, ask your friends and family to do the same.
